I started making candles in 2001 because all my favorite commercial brand candles were too expensive for my poor checkbook.

I bought a candlemaking starter kit and really enjoyed making candles.  Soon I had more candle supplies than space in my house for the candles I made.  Which is when I began gifting them to family and friends.

Who enjoyed them so much they asked if they could buy them.

I officially started Coming Home Candles in 2013 when occasional shoppers became regular customers.

My goals have always been to 1) make the best soy container candles and wax melts my customers have ever used, 2) make scents other indie candle makers don't (and the more unusual the better), and 3) support social services in my community.  I'm proud to say I've been about 90% successful in those goals (there's always room for improvement, no matter how well I'm doing).
