World Central Kitchen’s Relief Team is supporting furloughed federal workers in Washington, D.C., as the 2025 U.S. government shutdown nears its fourth week.
On Monday, October 27, WCK foods truck will be stationed in D.C.’s Navy Yard southeast neighborhood from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., serving thousands of meals to federal employees and their families. Locations may change as needs evolve—the latest meal sites and times will be posted here.
In 2019, WCK launched their #ChefsForFeds initiative during what became the longest federal shutdown in U.S. history. That effort provided more than 100,000 meals to federal workers and their families in D.C. and, through partnerships with 400 restaurants in 35 states, served hundreds of thousands more meals nationwide.
